Pkwy, Houston, TX 77077 Hybrid Role: In-office Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday. Work from home on Thursday and Friday.Position
SummaryThe position of Manager, Communications Channels and
Platforms will work closely with the Director, Communications
Experience to develop and implement a technical communications
channel and platform strategy that delivers a comprehensive and
unified content experience for colleagues and stakeholders.Sysco is
seeking an experienced and creative professional who understands
the technical communication needs of a global, matrixed
organization. Core competencies for this role include an
understanding of technical capabilities of industry standard
communications platforms, communications governance and process
optimization and information architecture supporting the back end
of communications platforms. This role will be an important member
of the team and act as a bridge connecting communications content
needs with technology platforms that deliver communications
experiences to all colleagues. This role will identify and
implement new and innovative ideas and solutions to help Sysco
elevate its technical communications capabilities. -Essential
Functions/Duties and Responsibilities
- Be the in-house product expert on the -FirstUp platform,
Sysco's internal global communications hub, including reach and
engagement of networked and non-networked colleagues.
- Own and work to continuously improve the company's intranet -
The Dish News. Develop new pages and tools as needed that engage
Sysco colleagues.
- Ensure Sysco's intranet, The Dish News, is optimized to meet
the growing business needs of our global colleague audience by
partnering Business Technology.
- Partner with communications platforms to optimize the internal
digital signage system platform. Partner with Business Technology
and HR teams as needed.
- Provide counsel and direction to Sysco's international business
units, on how to leverage and optimize Sysco's internal
communications platforms for their own localized networked content
distribution.
- Provide support and guidance for other communications
technology tools, including email content management systems and
apps such as Canva.
- Assist production partners with the technical components of
quarterly Town Hall preparation and execution, including managing
the webcast and polling during live events.
- Master communications platform analytics tools to provide
actionable insights reporting to team to identify areas of
opportunity and optimization against KPIs.
- Partner with third-party platform providers and agencies to
stay current on platform capabilities and tools to help the team
succeed.
- Provide support for special projects, as needed.Required
Minimum Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Management
Information Systems, Business Technology, Communications
- Communications systems professional with 5+ years
experience.
- Experience managing communications platforms such as
SharePoint, company intranet, website, app and third-party platform
integrations, etc.
- Broad thinking and capable of making connections across the
business and taking decisive action.
- Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships and
partnerships.
- A strategic thinker, excellent understanding of Sysco's global
market position.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability
to communicate ideas, insights and data effectively.Certifications
And/or Technical Requirements
- Advanced computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Knowledge of the FirstUp platform, SharePoint and platform
integrations and coding a plus.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, In Design,
Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premier/After Effects)
preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to
operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear.
The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and
arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20

- The position is located at the Global Support Center (Sysco
Corporate Office in Houston, TX).
