**Pay Rate:**

_The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*_

**What you'll be doing as a Medical Sanitation Worker:**

+ Supports Waste Management Sustainability Services onsite program, including manual labor associated with medical waste, nonhazardous pharmaceutical waste, sharps, and hazardous pharmaceutical waste collection, handling, packaging, transporting, and installing containers

+ This position is focused on hospital waste

+ Riding on the back of garbage or recycling collection truck and collecting solid waste on a designated route

+ Directing driver when pulling out in traffic and backing up, and directing incoming vehicles to dumping area at solid waste disposal facilities

+ Checking operating and safety conditions of vehicles, performing minor servicing, and reporting needed repairs or servicing

+ Assisting driver with various tasks during waste runs

**Available shifts:**

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

**Job requirements:**

+ Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements: 24-hour HAZWOPER preferred

+ Valid Driver's License

+ Vaccinations to be completed prior to starting.

+ Need to be added to the job order with a resume

+ Able to lift up to 50 pounds, and able to carry, reach, bend, push, pull, and climb

+ Flexibility to work in all weather conditions

+ Background check and drug screening required
