Enbridge has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Business Strategy Advisor. This is a lead role within the Data and Systems Strategy team and responsible for advising, coordinating, and executing the data and systems roadmap. This requires complex understanding of the people, processes, and technology dependencies, for execution of strategic initiatives. In addition to roadmap planning, and data strategy execution, this Sr. Business Strategy Advisor role is responsible for identifying critical initiative information and making it available for program owners and other stakeholders to drive timely decisions and ensure safety and compliance.

What You Will Do:

  • Define plans and execute the successful implementation of the GTM Data Strategy, by leveraging data concepts, budget, business case development, and accurate and timely decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrate success in building relationships among other functional and technical stakeholders for understanding and planning work related to GTM data and solutions.
  • Design and develop key leadership messages (power point, written communications).
  • Create and govern standards that enable data strategy, plans, projects, and activities aligned with performance targets and overall strategic priorities.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain optimized processes for the collection, maintenance, and integration of GTM data for the highest degree of efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance, controls, and governance processes and KPIs specific to GTM data functions to ensure the highest degree of accuracy and performance.
  • Contribute to work related to Regulatory Information Requests and coordinate among the team to respond.
  • Establish a growing and respected brand personally and within the team to influence Enbridge data standards, strengthening our organization, Operations, and Engineering & Asset Management with respect to the utilization of the best available data, technologies, and processes.
  • Possess the ability to speak in front of leadership stakeholders, facilitate cross functional meetings and workshops, and create key messages for change management.


    Who You Are:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management of Information Systems, or equivalent
    • 6 years of related experience (data systems, strategic road mapping, or system implementation)
    • Able to effectively contribute to the growth of emerging leaders within the team.
    • Ability to interpret impact to the Company of diverse business and data issues.
    • Ability to communicate to a wide audience, including employees, all levels of management, industry associations and regulatory agencies.
    • Ability to organize complex information and write concise documents and correspondence to various audiences.
    • Expert verbal and written skills in explaining complex issues to both technical and non-technical audience
    • Highly motivated and energetic to pursue the development of strategic plans and creative thinking to excel in a challenging, complex, and technical environment


      Preferred:

      • Advanced degrees or certifications related to Business Administration, Management of Information Systems or Engineering is an asset
      • 3+ years of experience in external stakeholder management through effective relationship building
      • Project Management experience, PMP or equivalent
      • Team Lead or Coordinator experience is an asset
      • Pipeline industry related experience is an asset


        Working Conditions:

        • Office environment
        • Travel, likely less than 2x per year to Calgary, Edmonton or other Operating regions or stakeholder meetings.
        • Ability to travel to Canada required.
        • Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role.

          Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

          Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Physical fitness and able to work at heights (climbing wind turbine) and ability to successfully pass working at heights training and certification and wear full fall arrest harness and related equipment

          Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

          Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
