Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Job in Houston, TX
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Houston, TX. As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing transit vehicle maintenance, inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all assigned transit vehicles and mechanical equipment.

About the Job

• 
  
• Perform transit vehicle maintenance in compliance with company standards
  
• Inspect, diagnose, service and/or repair all assigned transit vehicles and mechanical equipment
  
• Ensure accurate upgrades and/or modifications on coach systems
  
• Read and interpret safety documents, blue-prints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams
  
• Other duties as assigned
  
  
  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • 21 years or older
    
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
    
  • Valid drivers' license with a clean driving record
    
  • 3+ years' Maintenance experience with all types of heavy-duty transit equipment
    
  • ASE certification preferred, training available
    
  • Excellent communication skills
    
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug test
