Job Description:
A company is looking for a Production Underwriter responsible
for underwriting and marketing accounts across approved
states/territories.
Key Responsibilities
Underwrite and market accounts while developing new business and
managing assigned agencies
Analyze financial risks of applicants and monitor loss ratios to
ensure profitability
Build relationships with insurance agencies and make marketing
presentations to prospective clients
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of commercial underwriting experience
or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of underwriting philosophy, processes, and practices
Extensive experience in the insurance industry, preferably in
underwriting, broking, or sales roles
Property & Casualty Agent's license in residing state, or
willingness to obtain
CPCU, AU-M, CIC designations are a plus
